I was born in Wichita Falls and lived there through college and the first 12 years of my teaching career.  I graduated from Wichita Falls High School and attended Midwestern State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Special Education.  I began teaching at my high school in a special education classroom.  I returned to Midwestern State University and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling and then a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.  While in Wichita Falls ISD, I worked as a teacher, a school counselor, an Assistant Principal, and an Associate Principal.  I was offered an opportunity to move to Corpus Christi to start a high school in a rural district.  I served London ISD for 7 years.  I was the middle and high school principal and counselor for the first year.  For the following 5 years, I served as the high school principal.  During my last year in London ISD I served as the Director of Human Resources and Student Services.  My son and I relocated to Lubbock where I served as an Assistant Principal at Monterey High School.  While in Lubbock, I met the love of my life, Raymond Mewborn, and gained three sons James, Logan, and Daniel, and three grandchildren Jasper, Brylinn, and Saige.  My son Cael is headed to play football on a full scholarship at Eastern New Mexico and will be studying pre-medicine as he wishes to become a doctor of prosthetics and mobility.  Ray and I and our family are excited to become active members of the Seagaves community.  As an educator, it is my charge to ensure that all students are supported in the pursuit of their dreams.  I promise to make sure that all students are plugged into some extracurricular activity, to make sure they see their special gifts and talents, and to help them to grow as people and good citizens.  I promise to provide the best educational setting to allow all students to feel successful in their learning and to elevate all teachers and staff to their highest potential.  I promise to enrich the community of Seagraves and be an active member so that together, we build the best home for generations to come.
