Our high school students had a wonderful opportunity to connect with recruiters from universities across the United States through the Stars College Network. Representatives from institutions such as Duke University, Vanderbilt University, Northwestern University, Columbia University, the University of Arizona, the University of Southern California, Amherst College, Yale University, Case Western Reserve University, Stanford University, Southern Methodist University (Dallas), Colby College, the University of Chicago, the University of Texas at Austin, and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) were present. This amazing event allowed our students to explore the diverse and exciting offerings of various colleges.

Don't forget...the 8th grade social studies test will be tomorrow. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and a good breakfast either at home or at school. 📝🦅

Seagraves High School would like to invite all 8th graders and their parents to Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria. The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one. Students and their families will learn more about high school experiences and expectations, as well as graduation requirements. Graduation requirements have changed so much over the past few years. What is expected of the current senior class looks different than what’s expected of the incoming 8th graders. We want to be sure parents and students are clear on those state expectations and the pathways we have in place to ensure success.

Parents - there was another Internet outage today during our STAAR testing. It did not occur until this afternoon, so many students were able to finish. However, there were some students that did not finish. They WILL be able to finish testing tomorrow morning, and each campus has made a plan to accommodate these students. We are very proud of how hard our students have worked and how gracefully they handled the interruption. ❤️🦅🖤
